Bring your American Flyer hopper cars to life with realistic material load inserts made specifically for both 2-bay and 3-bay hoppers. Instead of running empty cars around your layout, add the look of a hard-working railroad with detailed coal, ballast/gravel, and red iron ore loads.

The 2-bay hopper loads are available in coal, ballast/gravel, and red iron ore, these three options are also available for American Flyer gondolas. The 3-bay hopper loads are currently only available in coal.

Each load is individually hand made, so no two are exactly alike — just like on a real railroad. The natural variations in texture and appearance help create a more realistic look throughout your freight consist.

These inserts are designed for a firm, secure fit and are intended to be a more permanent addition to your freight cars. Once installed, they give your frieght car and trains as a whole a more realistic, fully-loaded appearance that adds depth and authenticity to any collection or layout.
